Registration Opens on Sunday, February 2nd, 2025!

 

Join us for an inspiring and empowering one-day symposium, open to all members of NWBUC and the broader community. This event will feature insightful guest speakers, engaging workshops, and delicious food, offering participants the opportunity to nurture their minds, bodies, and spirits in a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.

 

The symposium will take place on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at NWBUC. The morning will begin with a keynote address, followed by a choice of three workshops to attend. After a lunch break, attendees can enjoy a panel discussion featuring three distinguished guests, and then choose from another set of three workshops in the afternoon.

 

Keynote Speaker: Irena Lawrenson, Retired OPP Officer – High Heels and High Hopes.

 

Workshop topics include: Yoga, untold stories of female heroes of World War II, breaking through the stress wall, a walk and meditation in the forest, learning about Kintsugi cups and mindfulness.

 

The afternoon guest panel will focus on resilience.  Speakers will share their experiences on a variety of topics that include recovering from burnout, cancer survival and senior’s mental health.

 

With only 80 tickets available, be sure to secure yours early! Tickets are priced at $40 per person and will go on sale to NWBUC members on February 2nd, 2025. Remaining tickets will be available to the public starting March 3rd, 2025.
